IGA2019 and Gothic Studies updates

Happy (Gothy?) New Year, everyone!

It’s been a while since we’ve sent out a message, but we wanted to let you know about a few important events.  First, don’t forget the call for papers for our upcoming conference in Lewis, just outside Chicago: the deadline is January 31 (!!).  You can learn more at the fabulous conference website, here: https://igalewis2019.com/.  Thanks to organizer Jamil Mustafa for all his work thus far!

Second, just about a year ago (well, almost exactly a year ago) we let you know that our journal, Gothic Studies, was moving to Edinburgh University Press, and that this would bring new rates and subscription information.  Well, that transition has now occurred: our final issue with MUP has just been mailed out (and it’s tremendous, in both content and size!).  If you look at our website now (http://www.internationalgothic.group.shef.ac.uk/), you’ll see new links for subscribing on the journal page, as well as the new rates on the “join the IGA” page.  If your membership has lapsed (hey, it happens to the best of us… [cough]), now is a great time to take out a new full membership and subscription to the journal.  If you are currently a full member and subscriber, EUP will send you a renewal notice.  You can subscribe and join here: https://www.euppublishing.com/page/gothic/subscribe.  Please note the different subscription buttons based on your location and whether you are paying the regular fee or the student/unwaged fee (we just noticed “unwaged” went missing in a recent web update, but it will be put back—feel free to click “student” if you’re under-employed).

That’s all for now!  We hope you all have a wonderful 2019, and we look forward to seeing you at IGA2019 in Lewis!

Best,

Jason and Justin
